On his visit to the Deaf and Dumb Institution at Dhalli to celebrate his birthday with the differently- abled children, Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh said that it always gives me immense satisfaction to be with you. “ I highly appreciate your potential and reasoning and I am confident that proper training and education will take you to new heights and I wish a bright future for you” said Chief Minister.The Chief Minister said that it was an appreciable step by the Red Cross Society who had vacated the empty building near the Deaf and Dumb Institution which has now been presently taken over by the department of Social Justice and Empowerment providing enough housing space to the institution. He also announced a sum of Rs 10 lakh for renovation of the existing building of the centre and up-gradation of school from 10th to plus two.
The Chief Minister assured adequate assistance to the institution as and when required.Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Col. Dhani Ram Shandil said that it was a great occasion for all of us to be amidst the children here.Smt. Rajkumari Soni, General Secretary, HP Council for Child Welfare detailed about the activities of the council and steps being taken by the Government for the upliftment of all centres set up in the State. MLA Shri Anirudh Singh, State Youth Congress President, Shri Vikramaditya Singh, Vice-Chairman HPTDC Shri Harish Janartha, Principal Secretary Social Justice and Empowerment Shri R.D. Dhiman and senior officers of the State Government were present on the occasion amongst others.Later the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Blood Donation Camp at Satsang Bhawan, Sanjauli organised by Vice-chairman HPTDC, Shri Harish Janartha.
