Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh released a book titled ‘An Introduction to Himachal Pradesh’ written by Shri R. K. Chauhan of Nahan, district Sirmour here today.Shri Virbhadra Singh said that author had worked hard over two years to brought out this book which contains about six hundred pages on history, geography, culture, polity and socio-economic condition of Himachal Pradesh. He said that the book was written in simple and lucid language, supplemented with maps and tables on each sector and latest census data of 2011 was taken. Chief Minister said that this book would be usefull to those aspirants who would be appearing in competitive examinations. He asked the writer to continue his efforts in future. Shri R.K. Chauhan is working as Lecturer in Economics in Government Senior Secondary School, Banethi near Nahan.
