Continental Institute for International Studies (CIIS) has joined hands with Waiariki Institute of Technology (WIT) New Zealand signing a memorandum for information technology, engineering, masters of management and dairy farming programs. Chief Executive at Waiariki Institute of Technology (WIT) in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand Professor Margaret Noble and President of CIIS Educational Services Society Lt. Col. B S Sandhu (Retd.) signed the memorandum. Speaking at the event, Lt Col Sandhu said after completion of the programs as designed under accelerated model, the students can take transfer to WIT for the completion of rest of course. This tie- up will create immense opportunities for deserving students who are willing to pursue education in New Zealand with unique transfer opportunities.
Laying emphasis on the dairy farming project he said that it was a unique, accelerated program, where job placement rate is very high with one year paid internship. It has relaxed IELTS requirements of overall 5.5 bands with no band less than 5.0 in each. "Students can work up to 20 hours per week while they are studying at WIT. Waiariki Institute of Technology, NZ is the first institute that New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA) has approved for 18 months Masters Program in business, IT, health and hospitality," he said. Lt Col Sandhu added that the eligibility criterion for it was to hold bachelors in relevant field with 50 percent and above in aggregate and IELTS overall 6.5 bands with no band less than 6.0 in each module.
