To honour his commitment to construct world class Freedom Martyrs Memorial in Punjab, Mr. Parkash Singh Badal, Chief Minister today approved land measuring 20 acres for setting up this historic monument at Kartarpur on Jalandhar-Amritsar national highway.
Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that a decision to this effect was taken by Mr. Badal in a meeting with the top brass of the state administration in his Office this morning.The spokesperson further said that the state agriculture department had given this land to the state government for the construction of the state-of-the-art memorial to showcase the rich legacy of numerous freedom fighters, patriots and martyrs of Punjab, who made significant contribution in the Indian freedom struggle.
