Mehbooba Mufti condemns attack on Policemen
Tarigami, Mir convey sympathies to bereaved families

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president, Mehbooba Mufti, condemned the killing of two policemen in Amirakadal area today. Expressing deep shock over the incident, she said violence in any form would not solve any problem. Mehbooba expressed concern over the sharp increase in such targeted attacks on police and regretted that the present dispensation has totally failed to protect the human lives. PDP president expressed her solidarity with the families of two slain cops Mohammad Maqbool and Nazir Ahmad. Meanwhile, CPI (M) State Secretary, Muhammad Yousuf Tarigmi has also condemned the attack on policemen. In his condolence message, Tarigami said violence is not a solution to any issue. He said dialogue is the only solution to all political issues. He also conveyed his deepest sympathies to the families of the slain cops. Agriuclture Minister, Ghulam Hassan has also condemned the attack on policemen. “Nothing can be achieved through violence and killing of innocents should be condemned in the strongest terms”. He has also conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families.
