Making an appeal to the people of state to join in large numbers the BJP rally to be addressed by Narendra Modi at Madhopur on J&K—Punjab border on June 23, BJP State President Jugal Kishore Sharma said that this is going to be the first visit of Modi to any state after taking over as Chairman of BJP’s National Election Campaign Committee.Jugal was addressing a press conference at party hqrs. here today to announce Modi’s programme. He was flanked by BJP National Executive Member, party’s National TV Panelist & State Chief Spokesperson Dr. Jitendra Singh and State General Secretary Rajiv Jasrotia.Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the date of 23 June, when Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive at Madhopur, holds special significance for BJP and the people of Jammu and Kashmir because it was on this day in 1953 that the Jan Sangh founder Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee died under mysterious circumstances in a Srinagar jail after being arrested by the state government for entering the state without permit to protest against the law of separate constitution, Separate flag and separate Prime Minister under the slogan of Ek Nishaan, Ek Vidhaan, Ek Pradhan. Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the people of state are keen to listen to Modi and hear his views about the current situation in the country and future roadmap to get rid of corruption and mis-governance under UPA rule. He appealed to people from Jammu and surrounding areas to gather in large numbers at Madhopur to listen to Modi and take the benefit of his Marg Darshan.
