State Govt. will organise ten Job Fairs in different places of the Pradesh during current financial year, with a view to provide job opportunities to educated unemployed youths at their doorsteps.This was disclosed by Urban Development and Housing Minister, Sh. Sudhir Sharma after inaugurating Job Fair organised by Labour and Employment Department at indoor stadium Dharamshala today.He said that state govt. has launched ‘skill development programme’ to make unemployed youth self-reliant and govt. has made elaborate arrangements for imparting training to develop their technical skill. He said that govt. will provide Rs. 1000 per month as Skill Development Allowance to the trainees. This scheme would help to solve the unemployment problem to a great extent of the state, he added.

Sudhir Sharma said that state govt. has decided to construct labourer hostels at a cost of 10 crores in the industrial areas of the Pradesh with a view to provide stay facilities to the workers. Besides this, state govt. has constituted HP Buildings and other construction workers Welfare Board to provide various facilities to the workers engaged in various construction activities in the state. He said that in case of accidental death of worker, the board will provide one lakh rupees to the nominee. Besides this, financial assistance for the medical, education and marriage of two children of the worker would be provided by the welfare board.Urban development minister asked the officers of the Labour and Employment department to make the proper publicity of such job fairs, so that more and more unemployed youth from far flung areas to be benefited.Labour Commissioner-cum- Director Employment Smt. Nandita Gupta welcomed the chief guest and said that 27 private various companies have set up their stalls in the job fair and more than 2500 jobs opportunities would be provided in this fair.
