Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh hosted lunch for visiting Chinese Prime Minister Li Keping at Hyderbad House in New Delhi on Monday.Sources told KNS that besides various leaders which included State Congress President Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz were also invited for the lunch.Soz confirmed to 5dariyanews he was part of the meeting. “During his speech Li Keping said that India has progressed a lot since 1986 and whole world is impressed with the development of India,” Soz told KNS.
Quoting the visiting Chinese premier, Prof Soz said, “India-China friendship is beneficial for both the countries and will lead them towards path of progress.”It is pertinent to mention here that last month relations between the two countries had soured after Chinese troops intruded almost 20 kilometeres inside Indian territory in Dular Beg Oldi (DBO) sector of Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir.The standoff ended after troops of both the countries reportedly agreed to withdraw from the area after a series of flag meetings between the armies of the two countries.
