The Punjab Public Works Department Minister Mr. Sharanjit Singh Dhillon assumed the charge of office at Punjab Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh. Mr. Dhillon took over after performing ‘Ardas’.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Dhillon said that the SAD-BJP government got mandate of people on its development agenda. He said that his top priority would be to provide world class road infrastructure in the state. He said that immediately after the wheat harvesting, illegal encroachments on the roadsides across the state would be removed. Mr. Dhillon pointed out that the department would also soon initiate the process of recruitment of Junior Engineers and Sub pisional Officers to overcome the shortage of staff besides bringing more efficiency. He said that the Quality Control Wing (QCW) of department would be made more active and accountable.
Mr. Dhillon expressing his gratitude to the Almighty to give him an opportunity to serve the people of Punjab and thanked Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal for providing him a platform to serve the people of state.
