There is good news for the girl students of the region.Dr Kiran Bedi, 1st Woman IPS Officer of India is going to launch Aryans Scholarship Scheme for girl students at Aryans Group of Colleges on 15th May. The scheme aims at strengthening the girl students who cannot pursue their higher education because of lack of financial resources. The registrations have already started on special Toll free helpline No. 1800-30000-388 and websitewww.aryans.edu.in for this special scholarship scheme. Till date more than 1500 students have got themselves registered.The Registrations will close on 13th May (12 midnight). Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges while giving details of schedule of Dr Kiran Bedi for “Aryans Scholarship Mela”, said that Dr Bedi would visit Ambala in Lord Mahavir Jain Public School at 10 AM to address the students.
She would address around 5000 students at Aryans campus at 12 Noon. At Aryans Campus, she would give scholarship letters to already selected students. She would also address media at PHD Chamber, Chandigarh at 2 PM.Dr Kataria further told that an excitement can be seen in the students of the region with the visit of Dr Bedi. He added that this is the 5th Scholarship Drive of Aryans. Earlier also, hundreds of students were benefitted with this scholarship scheme and are studying in various courses at Aryans campus.Dr Kataria further told that “Aryans Scholarship Mela” is for the deserving students who are not financially strong. He added that under this scheme, scholarships are given purely on Merit-cum-Means basis and it will be partially funded by the Bank, partially by the Student and partially by College. He added that students selected under scholarship would study in different courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Com, B.Ed, Nursing, Polytechnic, +1(Non Medical) etc.
