Chief Minister, Shri Virbhadra Singh said that creation of new districts was his governments' last priority and so far there was no proposal to create any district in the State. He was addressing a mammoth gathering at Rampur Bushahr today.

He said that the pace of development in sectors like health, education Roads etc was badly hit during the previous government regime. He said previous government tried to lure the voters by making lofty promises just ahead of the assembly elections but he was thankful to the people of the State for voting in favour of Congress party for a stable and honest government.

He said the college at Nankhari was opened just before the assembly elections and that too in a school building. This was a unique initiative which was being implemented only in Himachal Pradesh.

He said that his government was committed for overall development of the State and special emphasis was being laid on those areas which had remained deprived of development. He said that more schools would be opened as per the requirement and all the vacancies would be filled on priority in health, education, IPH, revenue and other major departments so that people get better facilities at their door-steps.
