Over 1100 students have been registered for “Aryans Scholarship Mela” to be held on 15th May at Aryans campus. The event would be inaugurated by Dr Kiran Bedi, First Woman IPS Officer of India. “Aryans Scholarship Mela” is a Project undertaken by Aryans Group of Colleges every year under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plan. In this, students get selected for scholarship on Merit-cum-Means basis. The registrations are still opened on special Toll free helpline No. 1800-30000-388 and website www.aryans.edu.in for the needy and deserving students who are interested in getting scholarship.Giving this information, Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman, Aryans Group said that this is the 5th Scholarship Drive of Aryans. This time, the students from not only North India, but from North East States and also from Nepal are seen excited about this event with the number of registrations from these areas. He added that on the occasion, Dr Kiran Bedi would also launch a special Scholarship Scheme for girl students.

Dr Kataria further told that on 15th May, Dr Kiran Bedi would visit 3 different places for Aryans. She would address the students in Ambala (10 am), in Aryans Campus (12 Noon) and in Chandigarh (2 pm). She would also launch the 8th Batch Admissions of Aryans and would distribute Scholarship letters to the selected students at Aryans Campus.Dr Kataria further told that “Aryans Scholarship Mela” is for the deserving students who are not financially strong. He added that under this scheme, scholarships are given purely on Merit-cum-Means basis and it will be partially funded by the Bank, partially by the Student and partially by College. He added that students selected under scholarship would study in different courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, BBA, BCA, BA, B.Com, B.Ed, Nursing, Polytechnic, +1(Non Medical) etc.

Prof A P Jain, Director, Aryans Group said that 4 years back, Dr Bedi selected some needy students at Aryans campus who were not able to pay study expenses. Those students after completing their courses at Aryans got placed in reputed companies. He added that the success stories of those students motivated us to continue with the same Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project for coming years also. Prof B S Sidhu, Registrar, Aryans Group said that today higher education has become very costly and is out of the reach of the common man. Due to which, many meritorious students also leave their studies in between. Aryans and Dr Kiran Bedi have come forward with a try to fulfill the dreams of needy but deserving students to study higher. It is worth mentioning that Dr Kiran Bedi’s Navjyoti India Foundation has signed an MoU with Aryans which was renewed also. Under this MoU, the Navjyoti Foundation identifies the students for scholarships and Aryans provides them the scholarships.
