Peerzada Reviews Widening Work On Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan Road

Minister for Public Enterprises, Haj, Auqaf and Floriculture, Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed today chaired a meeting   to review the pace of progress on construction and widening of approach road to Jamia Masjid Talab Khatikan  . Addressing the meeting, the Minister directed the concerned for early acquisition of land and removal of structures coming within the alignment of road, besides disbursement of compensation to the affected persons to pave the way for timely completion of the project. He directed the Jammu Municipal Corporation(JMC) to formulate a Master plan for the development of Talab Khatikan area. He said the development of area as per Master Plan would help to give a face lift to the area and promote tourist and economic activities in the area.  Stressing the need for timely completion of work on widening of road from Rajinder Bazar to Talab Khatika, Peerzada said that it would help to ease the traffic rush in the area.  The meeting was informed that JMC has already initiated the steps for acquisition and removal of structures coming within the alignment of the road. The meeting was further informed that the affected people would be paid compensation by the district administration. Among others, Commissioner Secretary, Revenue, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Assistant Commissioner, Revenue Jammu and Administrator, Auqaf Islamia, Jammu attended the meeting.
