District Development Commissioner (DDC), Budgam Tariq Hussain Ganai, who is also Chairman of DLRC Budgam today presided over 68th District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) meeting at New Conference Hall Budgam.The meeting was attended by ADC Budgam Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, Convener of the meeting Lead District Manager Aijaz Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer Budgam Rafiq Ahmad, Director RSETI, Budgam Tahira Parveen, DDM Nabard Junaid Hakeem, DIO Tajamul Yousuf, officers of line departments, bank heads operating in the district.Lead District Manager Budgam Aijaz Ahmad presented the overall performance of all banks and line departments of the district for June quarter- 2019. He said that banks up to the ending quarter June-2019 have disbursed an amount of Rs 384.23 crores out of which Rs 218.53 crore and Rs 165.70 crore have been disbursed under priority and non-priority sectors respectively. The Officer said the district has recorded a CD ratio of 91.40 percent for quarter ending June, terming it as best ratio across the Jammu and Kashmir.It was informed that of the annual District Credit Plan of Rs 1183 crores and against the target of establishment of 69645 units, about 15947 units both under priority and non-priority sectors have been established till ending quarter, June-2019, recording the percentage growth of 32.45%.

The chair was apprised that District Budgam is the only district in the Kashmir Division which has lowest NPA percentage rate. It was also given out in the meeting that banking sector has conducted BLBC meetings in all seventeen blocks wherein representatives of all banks and departments discussed, analyzed and addressed the grass root level problems.Regarding RSETI, it was informed that 94 awareness financial literacy camps were held across the district. Tariq Hussain Ganai emphasized on priority sector lending particularly under key sectors of agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, handloom and education and stressed on underperforming banks to do more in lending. The chairman instructed line departments to coordinate with banks more effectively for better performances in creating massive awareness and enhancement of sponsoring of cases particularly under priority sector. The chairman also stressed on reconciliation between banks and line departments. He emphasised on easy documentation process for genuine beneficiaries besides ensuring timely sanctioning of cases. The DDC directed line departments to avail internet facility at DC office for online submission of sponsored cases. He instructed ADC Budgam to identify suitable 8 kanal land for setting up of RSETI in the district at an earliest.During the meeting the chairman also released District Credit Plan for year 2019-20 FY for the district.
