Vigilance Bureau Nabs Junior Auditor Food Supplies Department For Taking Bribe

The Vigilance Bureau Punjab today nabbed a junior auditor, food and civil supplies department red handed while accepting bribe of Rs. 5,000.Disclosing this here an official spokesperson of the Vigilance Bureau said Jaspal Singh, junior auditor, posted at food and civil supplies department, Patiala was nabbed red handed by Vigilance team for accepting bribe of Rs. 5,000 from complainant Harinder Pal, owner of Sri Ram Sharnam Rice Mill, Dugal, Patran in Patiala district.The complainant has approached the VB and alleged that the above said junior auditor was demanding bribe of Rs. 5,000 for clearing payment bills pertaining to his rice mill.After verifying his information, the Vigilance team laid a trap and the accused employee was arrested on the spot while accepting bribe of Rs. 5,000/- from the complainant in the presence of two official witnesses He informed that a case under Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against the accused at VB police station Patiala and further investigations was under progress.
