District Development Commissioner Bandipora Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza today convened a meeting of district officers to review the arrangements for smooth observance of forthcoming Muharram-ul-Harram.Various issues with regard to repair of roads, inner links, installation of street lights besides supply of sugar, atta, kerosene, LPG, drinking water, electricity etc were discussed threadbare in the meeting.Moreover the arrangements of services, security, first-aid, sanitation, traffic regulation etc were also reviewed.The DDC, on the occasion, directed the concerned officers that arrangements must be completed before the commencement of Muharram. He said that essential services should be kept available in Shia dominated areas so that devotees do not face any inconvenience.The DDC issued directions for maintaining cleanliness in and around Imambaras and other identified spots where huge congregations are expected.The meeting was attended by SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik, ADDC Bandipora Mohammad Yousuf, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, CMO Bandipora Dr.Tajamul and other concerned.
