MLA Surinder Dawar Launches Ayushman Bharat-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna at Ludhiana

4 lakh 49 thousand families of district Ludhiana will get cashless treatment of up to Rs 5 lakh

The health Insurance Scheme Ayushman Bharat-Sarbat Sehat Bima Yojna launched across the state today.  It was started in Ludhiana by MLA Surinder Dawar, MLA of Halka Ludhiana (central).  The scheme will benefit 43 lakh families of state and around 4 lakh 49 thousand families in Ludhiana district.Giving information about the scheme, Mr. Dawar said that under this Health Insurance Scheme, 2 lakh 18 thousand SECCs (Socioeconomic Cast Censuses) Families, 1 lakh 66 thousand blue card holders, 40 thousand farmers, 10 thousand small traders and 15 thousand construction workers have been added, bringing the total number to 4 lakh 49 thousand.  He said that the government has signed an agreement with the IFFCO-Tokyo Insurance Company regarding the scheme.  Under this cashless insurance scheme, a family can get up to Rs 5 lakh cashless treatment annually.  The scheme has been signed with 16 government and 26 private hospitals in Ludhiana for the benefit of the people.He said that Golden Card was being issued to beneficiaries under this scheme.  This scheme will be very beneficial for the welfare of the people of the state and people will be able to lead a secure life.  

He directed the officials of the health department to put banners on the scheme and set up help desks in the empanel hospitals for the information of the people.Assistant Civil Surgeon Dr Balwinder Singh said that under the scheme, 9000 Community Service Centers have been opened by the Government to register beneficiaries. He said that e-card will be issued to the successful persons so that they will be able to avail the benefits of the scheme. He said that to know his name that is listed in this list then we can visit any Common Service Center, Toll-Free No 104 and Website www.shapunjab.in. He said that information can also be obtained from the nearest health institute. On the occasion, Health scheme cards were also distributed to eligible beneficiaries.MLA from Ludhiana (East) Mr Sanjay Talwar, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Ludhiana  Balkar Singh Sandhu, Senior Mayor Mr Sham Sundar Malhotra, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Jagraon) Mrs Neeru Katyal Gupta, Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga, Assistant Civil Surgeon  Balwinder Singh and others were present in large numbers.
