Secretary, Department of Disaster Management Relief, Rehabilation, Reconstruction /FCS & CA, P K Pole, on Friday chaired an officer’s meeting to review status of development works being executed in the district.Pole, In-charge Secretary for monitoring the development related activities in the district, had a detailed review of physical and financial status of development programmes being done in Doda under various schemes.DDC, Dr Sagar D Doifode, presented status of development projects including major state and centrally sponsored schemes under Health, Education, PDD, PHE, RDD and PWD, status of languishing projects, CAPEX budget achievements and related works.During the meeting, Pole reviewed the achievements of RDD for the current financial year and asked the concerned authorities to further gear up their field functionaries for achieving set target within the fixed timeline.It was informed that the department is also taking up the projects under Jal Shakti Abhiyan which will further enhance the rate of man-days in the district.Reviewing agriculture sector, Pole took stock of Organic Farming Projects, Intensive Vegetable Cluster Areas, Intensive Species Development Project, Soil Health Cards and distribution of Kissan Credit Card (KCC), enrollment of left out beneficiaries under PM KISAN besides reviewing implementation of PM Fasal Bima Yojana in the district.He suggested for conducting area wise soil analysis besides educating the farmers to grow suitable crops.
Pole asked the Chief Agriculture Officer to prepare a plan for doubling farmers income by motivating them to practice allied agriculture activities. He also asked the agriculture and allied departments to organise a workshop for the progressive farmers within the next 15 days to raise awareness among them about various schemes meant for their development.For effective implementation of schemes related to welfare of farmers, P K Pole stressed on setting targets and reviewing the progress after regular intervals so that achievement under different schemes can be quantified. He further asked to involve various Self Help groups in food processing activities.Regarding PDD activities, Secretary exhorted upon the authorities to complete all the projects under centre, state and district share within the fixed timeline besides ensuring electrification of un electrified households and taking up erection of poles on priority basis.Pole had a detailed deliberation on different languishing schemes under various sectors in the district and directed for evolving an effective monitoring mechanism for optimum outcome.Reviewing Forest sector, Pole asked for further intensifying plantation drives, promoting Eco Tourism and giving Forest clearance for development projects.
Regarding Education department, DDC revealed that there is sufficient pupil teacher ratio in the district at primary and middle school level but there is lack of staff at Hr Sec School level. He also informed that district administration has started a project under tagline "Zemidari ek ehsaas" in order to improve the quality of school buildings besides initiative for grading of schools on different identified parameters have also been done.Under PHE sector, it was informed that out of 33 ongoing schemes 6 are complete and will be inaugurated soon while rest of the schemes will be completed by the end of this financial year.Besides, vacancies of Doctors, Non Functional PHCs, medicine availability, ambulance services and Ayushman Bharat scheme were discussed.Regarding tourism sector, Pole directed the CEO BDA to identify the new trek routes leading towards different tourist destinations in the Doda and Bhaderwah.Director FCS &CA,ADDC, ADC, CEO BDA, ACD Doda, CEO, DFOs, ARTO, GM DIC, Dy Director Employment, PO IWMP, SP Operations, SE PWD, Hydraulic, PDD, DSWO, DPO, Engineers and officers of line departments were present in the meeting.
