A presentation was made by Business Development Manager of M/s Rishi FIBC Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Jophy Thomas Joseph before Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur regarding anti-hail net, flexi tanks and other protective equipments etc. here today.The Chief Minister evinced keen interest in the presentation and said that the state government was committed to provide the farmers and horticulturists, economically viable, durable and eco friendly protective materials such as anti hail nets, shade nets and frost protection material so that crops such as apple, stone fruits, flowers and peas could be saved from natural calamities.Jai Ram Thakur said that flexi tanks could be useful particularly in rain water harvesting and for transportation of water to water scarcity areas.The representatives of the company apprised the Chief Minister that the company was using high strength HDPE tapes and eco-friendly materials which could be used to protect the crops without causing harm to environment.Horticulture and IPH Minister Mohender Singh, Chief Secretary B.K. Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretaries Dr. Shrikant Baldi and R.D. Dhiman and senior officers were also present on the occasion.
