400 donors including 81 women donate blood at a blood donation camp organised by Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation

With the blessings of and under the able direction of Nirankari Satguru Mata SudikshaJiMaharaj, SantNirankari Charitable Foundation organized its 10thblood donation camp at Sant Nirankari Satsang Bhawan Sector 15, in which volunteers, inclusive of 81 women, donated 400 units of blood.In addition to blood donation camp,  “Awareness and Pledging camp” for donation of organs was also organized by the PGIMER, the Nodal Agency of Regional Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (ROTTO), wherein 102 devotees of Sant Nirankari Mission offered to donate their organs after death and ROTTO, PGIMER registered and issued them Cards.The blood donation camp was inaugurated jointly by Mr. Parminder Rai (Retd. IPS), Haryana and Dr. R. R Sharma Professor & Head, department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER Chandigarh. On this occasion they said that blood donation is a noble contribution to the mankind. Mr. Rai appreciated the spirit of the blood donors, who had assembled in such a large number to donate blood. He further told that blood is a rare commodity, which can is produced in the body of human beings only and transfused in the body of needy to save their lives.  At the same time Dr. R. R. Sharma narrated importance to the blood donation for saving the lives of suffering humanity. He further told that Sant Nirankari mission is doing a great service by organizing blood donation camps at many places not only in India but also in foreign countries. 

Whenever PGI needed blood, volunteers of Sant Nirankari Mission immediately came forward. He further said that some years ago, PGIMER used to publish in papers requesting Blood Donors to come forward to save the lives of needy patients, but now Sant Nirankari Mission is holding of Blood Donation regularly and there is no scarcity of blood in PGIMER now. He thanked the Sant Nirankari Mission and Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation for this great service to humanity.Mr. K. K. Kashyap, Zonal Incharge Chandigarh Zone said that Sant Nirankari Charitable Foundation has planned to organize 32 Blood Donation Camps in Chandigarh zone during the year 2019-20, besides Special Blood Donation Camps, which could be held on the demand from any Blood Bank in Chandigarh Zone.A team of 20 paramedics and Doctors under Dr. Suchet Sachdev, Assistant Professor, Department of Transfusion Medicine, Blood Bank P.G.I.M.E.R, Chandigarh & Dr. Simarjeet  Government Multi specialist Hospital Sector 16, Chandigarh Assisted in the successful culmination of the blood donation camp.On this occasion Zonal Incharge Sh. K. K. Kashyap Ji, Shri Atam Parkash Ji, Khetriya Sanchalak, Shri Navneet Pathak Sanyojak Chandigarh, Shri S.S. Banga Mukhi Sector 15 Area, Sh. Pawan Kumar, Mukhi, Sector 40 Area and Sh. N. K. Gupta JI Mukhi Sector 45 Chandigarh alongwith Sanchalaks, were present to encourage the donors.Shri S.S. Banga Mukhi Sector 15 Area expressed his gratitude to the team of doctors, and donors for their selfless contribution to this noble cause.
