Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur invited the Indian diaspora of UAE to consider the peace and advantageous environment of the state for investment. He was addressing the members of People of Indian Origin Chamber of Commerce and Industry at Dubai today.The Chief Minister saluted the entrepreneurial spirit of Indians and requested them to be part of the growth story of Himachal Pradesh.Jai Ram Thakur said that Himachal Pradesh offers attractive incentives under the industrial policy to boost investment in the state and the government has recently amended the policy to make it more attractive and industry friendly. “We are also coming up with investor friendly policies in sectors such as tourism, AYUSH, IT, electronics and hydro energy”, he added.
While inviting the potential entrepreneurs to be part of the Global Investors Meet being organized at Dharamshala this year by the state government, the Chief Minister said this Meet would focus on a wide range of upcoming and thriving sectors like tourism, AYUSH and wellness, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, real estate, hydropower, agro and food processing.Industries Minister Bikram Singh also made a strong pitch for investments in Himachal Pradesh and assured all possible support and assistance to the potential investors.Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi presented the opportunities that vest with the state and appealed to the entrepreneurs to join for the global investors meet.Additional Chief Secretaries Manoj Kumar and Ram Subhag Singh, Director Industries Hans Raj Sharma, Special Secretary Abid Hussain Sadiq, Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister Vinay Singh, representatives of CII, Himachal Pradesh were also present on the occasion among others.
