State to launch CM Helpline 1100 : B.K. Agarwal

Chief Secretary B.K. Agarwal said that the CM Helpline will be started soon in the state to register problems, complaints and suggestions of the general public.He was presiding over a workshop on CM Helpline 1100, organised here today. A detailed presentation on this service was given by the states of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, where this helpline has already been launched.The Chief Secretary said that this helpline would be a centralized grievance system which will help in redressing the problems and complaints of the general public. The people would get the facility to register their problems, complaints and suggestions, besides seeking information by contacting on toll free number 1100.Director Information Technology Rohan Chand Thakur, while conducting the meeting, informed that this helpline would be bottom-top approach which would ensure quicker response and transparent and responsive governance. The call centre of this service centre has been set up in the parking complex at Tutikandi in Shimla, where employment has been given to 60 call centre operators.  This centre will be functional on all days from 7 am to 10 pm. Moreover, three Operators would sit in the office of Chief Minister to register paper applications received in formal hearing.Director of CM Helpline, Madhya Pradesh Bhupendra Paraste detailed the features of this service through power point presentation.Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Nisha Singh, Anil Khachi and R.D. Dhiman, DGP S.R. Mardi, Joint Director, Information & Public Relations Sanjay Sharma and other senior officers of various departments attended the meeting.
