State Government got a positive response from the entrepreneurs and business community of Germany and Netherlands : Jai Ram Thakur

The State Government got a positive response from the entrepreneurs and business community of Germany and Netherlands and they showed keen interest to invest the State in sectors such as agriculture, Horticulture, food and fruit processing, tourism and hydel etc. This was stated by the Chief Minister    Jai Ram Thakur while interacting with the media after his arrival from his foreign visit where he participated in the Road Shows organized in Germany and Netherlands. Chief Minister said that the entrepreneurs in both the countries envisaged keen interest to investment in the State. He said that he also invited the Industry captains of other the Nations to be a part of the Global Investors Meet being held at Dharamshala.Jai Ram Thakur said that the globally renowned Wageningen University Netherlands showed keen interest to cooperate in post harvest research and agro-food robotics in the State. He said that the university is already engaged in some projects in Himachal Pradesh particularly in the area of controlled atmosphere (CA) stores.

He said that MoU was also signed between the Government of Himachal Pradesh and Frankfurt Innovation Zentrum (FIZ) at Frankfurt, Germany to explore areas of collaboration in the fields of Ayurgenomics, precision medicine and precision agriculture. He said that MoU was also signed with ASSOCHAM EUROPE in Netherlands to strengthen and expand in the area of agriculture, horticulture, logistic and infrastructure.Chief Minister said that before proceeding on foreign visit he also called on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him for the Global Investors meet slated for 7th and 8th November, 2019 at Dharamshala. He expressed confidence that the Road shows held by the State Government in both the countries would go a long way in attracting investments for the State.Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government also signed MoU with CM Corps to develop golf resort in Kangra district and another MoU with Takshinda Foundation for establishing an international Skill University in the State. Earlier, on his arrival at Annadale, Chief Minister was accorded warm welcome by Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, State BJP President Satpal Satti, Chief Whip Narendra Bragta, Mayor MC Shimla Kusum Sedrate, Chairman HIMFED Ganesh Dutt, counsellor of Shimla Municipal Corporation and others.
