Lashing out at the Congress party and its other allies for misusing the tragic incidents of sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji for their petty political gains, former minister Bikram Singh Majithia today prayed to almighty that divine wrath may  fall on people politicizing the beadbi of our holy granth.Addressing an impressive gathering at Royal Villa resorts to seek support for BJP candidate for Amritsar parliamentary constituency, S. Hardeep Singh Puri after taking out a motorcycle march with thousands of young supporters, S. Majithia said Capt Amrinder Singh, who had gone back on all promises made even after taking oath of sacred charan of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, could not be trusted again. “He has betrayed every section of the society. Punjabis are being forced to pay inflated power bills which have pushed them to the extent of committing suicides in the offices of electricity board”.Further targeting the Congress government, the SAD leader said farmer loans had not been waived off, pensions had been stopped, Shagan amount was not raised from Rs.15000 to 51000 as promised and 800 schools had been closed.

He said farmers had suffered in Mandis recently due to absence of gunny bags and that no Congress minister or legislator had visited Mandis to ensure smooth procurement of wheat.Urging the people to support Mr Puri for all round development of Guru Ki Nagari, Mr Majithia said the union minister was capable of representing the holy city at national and international forums in order to attract big projects for the development of the constituency. Lauding the articulating abilities of Mr Puri, the SAD leader said he was the most sought after person for representing the country at the United Nations.Speaking on this occasion, Mr Puri remembered his old family ties with Amritsar and assured the people of the constituency that he would spend maximum time with his constituents and leave no stone unturned to bring the remaining perpetrators of 1984 genocide justice if elected to parliament.Uttar Pradesh minister Baldev Singh Aulakh also addressed the gathering and urged the people to ensure the victory of Mr Puri with a huge margin.Others present on the occasion included Mr Raj Mohinder Singh Majitha, Mr Santokh Singh Samra, Mr Harwinder Singh Pappu Kotla and Balbir Singh Chandi.
