Amar Singh Baghel, IAS 2004 batch officer from Madhya Pradesh, who has been deputed as the general observer for Lok Sabha elections 2019 today visited Mansa. he is general observer for the assembly constituencies of Talwandi Sabo, Maur, mansa, Sardulgarh and Budhlada.Convening a meeting with the senior district administration officials including District Election officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mrs Apneet Riyait, Mr Baghel reviewed the statuses of complaints regarding model code of conduct violations and others received on different platforms.General public can report model code of conduct violations to him for the above mentioned constituencies and can be reached at phone number 83605-46779 and email id [email protected] He directed all the officers to ensure that all kinds of complaints pertaining to poll violations are disposed off effectively in the stipulated time period. He also directed the election staff to ensure that people are made aware of the mobile applications like C Vigil using which anyone can make post real time complaint to the election commission regarding various violations.
Apprising him of the actvities being undertaken for awareness of voters under SVEEP campaign in Mansa district the District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Mrs Apneet Riyait said that during Punjab assembly elections 2017 Mansa created record in state with highest poll percent of 88.75 percentage. She added that Mansa is working hard to maintain the momentum for which an array of activities are being performed under SVEEP campaign.Mr Baghel appreciated the efforts and said that more activities should be conducted to keep voters aware of the importance of voting.SSP Mansa Mr Gulneet Singh Khurana, ADC (G) Mr Rajdeep Singh Brar, ADC (D) Mr Gurmeet Singh Sidhu, SDM Mansa Mr Abhijit Kaplish, SDM Budhlada Mr Aditya Dhachwal, SDM Sardulgarh Mr Latif Ahmed, DDPO Mr Dinesh Vashisht, GA Mr Navdeep Kumar , election tehsildar Mr Gurcharan Singh and others were also present.
