B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture and Diploma (Agriculture) students of Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura, Near Chandigarh were taken to National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal for giving exposure to Dairy Production, processing, techniques of artificial insemination, Pasteurization, formation of various dairy products etc.The students learnt the processing and packaging of various dairy products like cheese, butter, khoya and condensed milk etc. They also visited cattle yard to know about various breeds like Karan swiss, Karan freeze, Gir etc along with buffalo clones developed at NDRI, Karnal.Mr. Rakesh, RA while interacting with the students briefed them the process of sensors, controlling animals diet and automatic milking process through machines, different adulterants and antibiotic test etc.Ms Dheeraj Mehta, HoD, Agriculture Department said that beyond the academics, the industrial visit has provided a practical perspective to the students. The visit was an enriching experience for the students in getting live exposure of how a dairy firm actually functions along with plethora of similar information.
