The way Modi was being projected by sidelining all other National Senior leaders of BJP, it appears that BJPleaders of Himachal Pradesh were considering modi as if he has a “remedy to cure all ills” but the fact is that Modi alone can’t turn the tide and come out with solutions to all problems” said chief minister virbhadra singh in his election speech at Janglabhud, Banethi and Sarahan in district sirmaur today. Taking a dig at state BJP leaders he said that he has never seen or allotted any “Namo Tea Stall” in the State to Modi but still BJP leaders were claiming that ‘CHAYE  WALA” (a person who sells tea) would be prime-minister of the country.

He said that the local BJP MLA had nothing to do with the problems of the people of the area, adding that he just preferred the place for contesting the elections. “the way these BJP, MLAs boycotted the assembly session, it seemed  that they have nothing to do with the development of the area and nor with the people, but merely they want to grab the  power by befooling the honest people of the state”, said Sh. Singh adding that they were seen only nearing elections.

He said that the BJP was puzzled over the growing popularity of the congress and foreseeing defeat of its all four candidates in Lok Sabha elections. He said that Prem Kumar Dhumal was confined to Hamirpur constituency only as he can visualize the defeat of his son Anurag Thakur this time. He said that the politics of lies and vendetta, as being done by BJP was not going to last long. Virbhadra Singh said that history has witnessed that whenever congress came to power in the state it worked for overall and equitable development of all areas. It was the congress governments during which district Sirmaur witnessed rapid development. He said that our government had proposed to set up three medical colleges in the State out of which one such college would be opened in Nahan so as to provide better medical facilities to the people of the district. Sh Singh said that as  far as education sector was concerned many milestones had been achieved in this sector, adding that during last one and a half years more than 500 schools were either opened or upgraded besides 14 colleges had been opened in the State. He laid stress on education of girl child.

Virbhadra Singh said BJP had never been considerate to the welfare of the people of Himachal. Since the formation of the State there was not any contribution of BJP in development of the state. He said that BJP always played politics based on Region and religion and always ped the people on communal lines, adding that the congress had always respected all religions alike and cautioned the peole to be aware of the evil designs of BJP and support the congress candidate, Mohan Lal brakta to ensure overall and alike welfare of sections of society.
