District Development Commissioner (DDC), Showkat Aijaz Bhat Sunday conducted an extensive tour of Banihal, Khari and Ukhral areas of district Ramban and inspected various restoration works besides taking stock of essential commodities.DDC visited Sub District Hospital Banihal to assess punctuality of staff and patient care at the health institute. He inspected wards of the hospital and interacted with the patients and checked the availability of medicines and other medical facilities being provided to the patients in hospital. He directed the officers of Health departments to provide best health facility to visiting patient.Bhat also inspected various ongoing developmental construction works under state and central government projects in Banihal area and instructed the concerned agencies to complete said project within prescribed time so that they are made functional.DDC also conducts public outreach camp at Khari, Ukhral, Kawna, Bawa Tehsils where he interacted with the public and heard their grievances, besides passing on spot directions for its redressal. He directed all officers to stay in their headquarters and keep men and machinery on high alert in view of bad weather prediction for the next few days.He directed the officers to ensure availability of Ration, LPG, Kerosene oil and other items and directed the concerned officers to ensure proper distribution at concerned depots. He asked Tehsildars to access the damges caused by the snowfall and landslides.DDC also directed the officers to remain in contact with the people and pay regular visits to remote and far-flung areas to build confidence among people for district administration besides ensuring the quality of developmental works.
