Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur  paying last respect to Shri Tilak Raj a CRPF personnel martyred in the Pulwama terror attack at village Jandro in Jawali area of Kangra district today.With hands folded in reverence and head bowed in respect, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur today led the State in paying last respect to Tilak Raj a CRPF personnel martyred in the Pulwama terror attack on 14th of this month.The Chief Minister visited the native village Jandro in Jawali area of Kangra district today and prayed his last respect to the martyr Tilak Raj by laying wreath on the coffin of the Martyr draped in tricolour.Forty CRPF personnel were killed and five injured in one of the deadliest terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, when Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber rammed a vehicle carrying explosives into their vehicle in Pulwama district.While consoling the martyr's father Shri Layak Ram, mother, wife and other family members the Chief Minister said that the martyr Tilak Raj laid down his life for the nation's sake and in this hour of grief, the State government was solidly standing with the family. We will give whatever assistance they require, he said.The Chief Minister took part in the last journey of the martyr which was held with full state honours at his native village.Brother of the martyr Baldev Singh lit the pyre.Villagers kept chanting "Shaheed Tilak Raj Amar Rahe" and also raised anti-Pakistan slogan. 

Meanwhile, interacting with the media present on the occasion, the Chief Minister described the killing of soldiers as a cowardly act by the terrorist backed by Pakistan. He said that such nefarious designs of evil forces would not succeed and the nation will give befitting reply to the Pakistan.Jai Ram Thakur said that apart from a financial assistance of Rs. 20 lakh to the kin of the martyr the State government would provide all possible assistance to the family and government employment to the wife of the martyr.A pall of gloom descended on the village after the body of the Shaheed Tilak Raj reached his native village. People thronged the martyr's house to pay their last respect before the coffin was carried for the last rites.Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda, former CM and MP Shanta Kumar, Food and Civil supplies Minister Kishan Kapoor,  Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar,  MLAs Arun Mehta,  Rakesh Pathania,  Arjun Singh, KCCB Chairman Dr. Rajiv Bhardwaj,  former MP Kripal Parmar,  former Ministers Sudhir Sharma,  Chander Kumar,  Harbans Rana,  former MLA Ajay Mahajan,  Organization Secretary Pawan Rana,  National Vice President BJP ST Morcha Trilok Kapoor,  DIG Dr. Atul Fulzelle, DIG CRPF Onkar Singh Chadak,  Assistant  Commandant M.S. Shekhawat,  DC Kangra Sandeep Kumar,  SP Kangra Santosh Patiyal,   RO Indian Army Yol Cantt. Col. Manish Dhiman and people from different walks paid their last respect to the martyr.
