Special drive to be launched to identify beneficiaries of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna : Jai Ram Thakur

The State Government would ensure effective implementation of the newly launched ‘PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna’ in the State by launching a special drive to identify the beneficiaries. This was stated by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur while presiding over the meeting to discuss the strategy for successful implementation of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna, held here today.Jai Ram Thakur said that camps must be organized at Panchayat and Block level to ensure that the data could be uploaded in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojna Portal before 25th of this month. He directed the officers to ensure that data entries must be done in a campaign mode at the district and block level so that this scheme could be implemented effectively and the beneficiaries get first instalment of the benefit under the scheme from 1 December 2018 for the current financial year at the earliest.The Chief Minister said that this scheme was hundred percent centrally sponsored scheme and as per the operational guidelines database, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojna, soil and health cards, socio-economic and caste census could also be utilised for this purpose. He said that as per the agriculture census of the State, the number of small and marginal farmers was 8.85 lakh. 

It was decided in the meeting that for over all supervision, monitoring and implementation of this scheme, a state level committee would be constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue. The Revenue department would be the Nodal department for implementation of this scheme. It was also decided that state and district level committees would also be constituted under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner of the concerned district having district level officers of revenue, land records, agriculture, horticulture, rural development, panchayati raj and civil supplies department.Additional Chief Secretary Revenue and PWD Manisha Nanda said the data of agriculture census conducted by the revenue department would be provided to all the Deputy Commissioners so that the list of beneficiaries could be prepared at the earliest.Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Singh Thakur, MPP and Power Minister Anil Sharma, Agriculture Minister Dr. Ram Lal Markanda, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Shrikant Baldi, Principal Secretary J.C. Sharma, Secretary Dr. R.N. Batta, Director Rural Development Rakesh Kanwar and other senior officers were also were present on the occasion.
