Protests erupted on the Srinagar Jammu highway at Qazigund against authorities letting forces vehicle pass while stopping other commuters on the stretch.Protestors stopped forces vehicles and did not let them move accusing there movement being reason for the mess on roads.A passenger on way to Jammu told news agency PTK that “to pave way for their smooth movement, authorities put thousands of passengers in trouble,” he said.“Army and CRPF Vehicle are being allowed to move ahead which becomes a major reason of Traffic Jam,” they said.“Passengers have suffered a lot since yesterday morning due to mismanagement of traffic and people have been left to suffer by the dispensation,” they said.They said that a gridlock of traffic created mess in Qazigund. “We were just treated like cattle on Srinagar-Jammu highway,” they added.Meanwhile, the traffic is scheduled to ply from Srinagar to Jammu on the highway today as well. Officials said that the passengers travelling to Jammu on Tuesday had to return back to Srinagar due to the blockade and as such the traffic will against ply from Srinagar to Jammu. “One-way traffic from Srinagar to Jammu will be allowed as soon as the landslide is cleared,” the official said.
