Members of Legislative Council, Naresh Gupta and Vikram Randhawa, Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta, besides members of Municipal Committee , Billawar today called on the Advisor to Governor, Kewal Kumar Sharma and brought their issues to his notice for early resdressal.MLC, Naresh Gupta sought installation of more Power transmission towers for augmentation of power supply, restoration and upgradation of water bodies at Bhaderwah and Thatri, construction of bridge  under NABARD and other issues related to PDD, PHE, Flood Control and Revenue departments.He also drew the attention of the Advisor towards the issue of powers vested with the ADCs. He said that after the creation of post of ADCs, the power vested with them needs to be enhanced to respond to the needs on the ground.While interacting with the MLC, the Advisor said that the matter shall be looked into for examination and necessary directions.Meanwhile, MLC Randhawa and Former Minister Nawang Rigzin Jora brought some public issues to the notice of the Advisor and sought their redressal.

Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Chander Mohan Gupta discussed issues regarding funds allocation to the corporation, sanction of ward wise street lights and granting building permission in Gandhi Nagar area.The Mayor said that Jammu has a huge floating population especially during winter season which attracts more activities from the JMC.The Advisor   asked the Mayor to identify specific works which need additional funding.Later, a delegation of Municipal Committee, Billawar headed by its Chairman called on the Advisor Sharma and submitted a charter of demands.The demands included development of Bus Stand, installation of street lights, construction of Flood Protection wall near Stadium, speedy execution of work on Ring Road besides other developmental needs of the area.The Advisor asked the Municipal Committee representatives to work with enthusiasm to resolve the development issues of their people.On the development of Bus Stand, the Advisor asked the delegation to prepare detailed proposal and assured that necessary directions will be issued after its detailed assessment.
