A history of a kind was created when Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur laid foundation stones and inaugurated developmental projects worth around Rs. 285 crore in a single day in Dharampur Assembly constituency of Mandi district on Thursday.While addressing a public meeting at Sandhol, the Chief Minister greeted Irrigation and Public Health Minister Mahender Sigh Thakur on his birthday and said that the endeavours of the Minister to ensure development of the area were inspiring for all.Jai Ram Thakur said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was always keen to ensure that Himachal Pradesh emerges as the most developed State of the country. He said that for this the Prime Minister has provided liberal assistance of about Rs. 10,000 crore to Himachal Pradesh during the short period of one year.While speaking of his humble origin, Chief Minister said that he has seen poverty and thus understands the needs and aspirations of the common man. He was ensuring that the poor and the downtrodden gets top priority in matter of development and all the policies and programmes of the state government were aimed at upliftment of the common man.He announced to open HRTC sub-depot at Sandhol and said that SDM would sit for six days at Sandhol for convenience of the people. He also announced upgradation of Middle School Kun to High School and opening of PHC at Jhangi.

Mahender Singh Thakur thanked the Chief Minister for laying foundation stones of various developmental projects worth crores of rupees in Dharampur and Sandhol areas of his Assembly constituency which would open new vistas of development. He said that bridge over Bakkar Khud would go a long way in strengthening the bonding between Mandi and Hamirpur districts.MP Anurag Thakur said that the people of the state were fortunate to have the love and benevolence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the pace of development has gained momentum due to the liberal assistance from the Centre. Earlier, the Chief Minister laid foundation stones of multi village water supply scheme Sandhol and remoulding of old water supply scheme in Dharampur Block to be completed at a cost of Rs. 48.79 crore,  mini secretariat building Sandhol to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 11.72 crore,  ITI building Sandhol to be completed by spending Rs. 5.15 crore,  bridge over Masot Khud of Kothuan to Chtroun road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.30 crore, bridge over Jhangi khud of Lalana to Bhur road to be constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.25 crore,  bridge over Taryal Nalah of Deol to Lehsani road to be built by spending Rs. 1.09 crore,  bridge over Bakkar khud of Jhared to Chhamb road to be constructed by incurring Rs. 19.81 crore, sericulture building at Sandhol to be built at a cost of Rs. 19.50 crore and civil hospital building Sandhol to be constructed by spending Rs. 9.91 crore.He also inaugurated Rs. 75.12 lakh water supply scheme Deol, Koon Balyali at Sandhol.MPP and Power Minister Anil Sharma, Health Minister Vipin Singh Parmar, MLAs Col. Inder Singh, Vinod Kumar, Inder Singh Gandhi, Vinod Kumar,  Jawahar Thakur and Prakash Rana, Mandal BJP President Puran Chand were present on the occasion among others.
