Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas through PCRA and The PSU oil companies have been organizing Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight since 1991 throughout the country to focus special attention with objective of creating mass awareness of importance of conservation of oil and gas in various sectors viz. Transport, Domestic, Industrial, commercial, Agriculture and Protection of environment. Keeping in view the tradition of national noble cause, a Cyclothon was organized by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited Bathinda Retail Regional Office under the banner of SAKSHAM-2019.The event was graced by the warm presence of Chief guest and noted Arjuna awardee (Silver Medalist in 18th Commonwealth Games 2006) Smt. Avneet Kaur Sidhu, Ms Jyoti, a National Level Cyclist hailing from Andhra Pradesh, Head Bathinda Retail Regional Shri Rajiv Bansal, Deputy General Manager Pipeline Shri Bablu Saha, Ch. Manager-operation Bathinda IRD Shri Ritesh Kumar.The Cyclothon started from Phase 3 Model Town Bathinda with the slogan of “Cycle for health, Environment and Fuel conservation”. The Cyclothon spirited the atmosphere of Model town with the huge enthusiasm and Saksham slogan. The total number of cyclists were above 500. The Cyclothon was joined by many roadside cyclist, Customers and students also. The Cyclothon started from HPCL owned housing land at Model town 3 covering around 6 KM of Bathinda City Periphery.The Cyclothon terminated at HPCL Owned housing land at Model town 3, Bathinda. The Head Bathinda Retail Regional Office Shri Rajiv Bansal thanked all the participants for making this event a successful one.
