A delegation from Kargil district led by Sh. Vikram Randhawa MLC, met Governor Satya Pal Malik at the Raj Bhavan here today.The delegation projected a charter of demands which include Divisional Status to Ladakh; retendering of Zoji La tunnel; early completion of Kargil Airport expansion and introduction of Civil Air Service; establishment of Central University with its administrative unit at Kargil; early completion of Darcha- Padum- Kargil road for Amarnath ji Yatris as alternative route; up-gradation of Government High Schools, Choskore, Sangrah, Lunkar Grong, and Shikar Chiktan; Government High and Middle Schools, Apati Soudh, and Government Middle Schools Archoo, Thangso, Holiyal, and Kanoor;  declaration of Model apricot village in Kargil and construction of Panikhar-Kishtwar road.Assuring the delegation for giving due consideration to their demands for their early redressal, Governor urged Sh. Vikram Randhawa to continue his endeavours for promoting public welfare.
