Punjab bags 47 medals till now including 16 Gold, 13 Silver & 18 Bronze

The players from Punjab in the ‘Khelo India Youth Games’ being held at Pune bagged 4 medals today with the inclusion of One Gold, 2 Silver and One Bronze medals. With this, the medal tally of Punjab has reached 47 including 16 Gold, 13 Silver and 18 Bronze.Disclosing this, the Chef De Mission of the Punjab contingent and the Director, Sports, Mrs. Amrit Kaur Gill said that in U-21 Air Pistol Shooting event Arjun Cheema won Gold while in the U-17 Air Pistol event Rajkanawar Singh Sandhu bagged Silver. The Punjab Boys Hockey U-17 team also won Silver after it was defeated by Haryana in the final. Gagandeep Gill won bronze medal in +102 Kg category of U-27 Weightlifting. The Director, Sports also divulged that the U-17 and U-21 Boys Football teams from Punjab have reached semifinals.
