On second day, Finance Minister announced grants worth Rs 7.53 crores for development works

Amount will be incurred on upgradation of sewerage, roads, street lights and ponds in different colonies

On the second day of his visit to Bathinda city, the Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal today announced grants worth Rs.7.53 crores for sewerage system, roads, street lighting in various residential areas besides renovation of ponds. Apart from this, Mr. Badal also announced separate electricity bill center of PSPCL and special bus service for the residents across the railway lines.During his public meetings in the city, including Three Palms and Hardev Nagar, the Finance Minister also started development work for laying of sewerage system, strengthening & construction of roads and street lighting in the areas of Arjun Nagar, T.P.C. Colony and Jogi Nagar with the cost of Rs.2.5 crores.Mr. Badal also announced grants of Rs.1.5 crore for strengthening of all the roads of Adarsh Nagar in ward-1, Rs.1.38 crore for upgradation of main sewerage disposal system in city, Rs.80 lakh to upgrade infrastructure in the government school of Udham Singh Nagar. Rs.60 lakh each for the renovation of ponds in Sanjay Nagar and Naruana Road, Rs.10 lakh and Rs.5 lakhs for Tibbe Wali Dharamshala and Balmiki Dharamshala of Jogi Nagar, respectively.

While listening to the problems of residents across the railway lines, the Finance Minister on the spot called up Chairman, PSPCL and announced that PSPCL Bill Center would come up in the area across railway lines so that public can easily pay their electricity bills and they need not to go a long way.Solving the second major problem of providing bus service connecting the region, Mr. Badal also called up General Manager, PRTC and instructed him to start special bus service in areas across railway lines. He also assured to set up a separate police post to ensure the security in this area. Mr. Manpreet Singh Badal heard the grievances in public meetings and assured them a quick solution.On this occasion among others who were also present included Mr. Mohal lal chumba, Mr. Jagroop Singh former MC, Mr. Ashok President, Mr. Jaijeet Johal, Mr. Rajan Garg, Mr. K.K. Agarwal, Mr. Arun Vadawan, Mr. Pawan Maani, Mr. Chamkaur Mann, Mr. Tehal Singh Sandhu, Mr. Nathu Ram, Mr. Prakash Chand, O.S.D Mr. Jasvir Singh, jimmy Brar, Sarfraj Gill and Inder Sahni.
