Water Resources, Forest and Environment Minister of Uttar Pradesh UpendraTiwari today called on Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur at his official residence 'Oak Over'. He handed over a letter of Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath in which he has invited Jai Ram Thakur to participate in the Pryagraj Kumbh-2019.In this letter, Yogi Adityanath has informed that the Kumbh Mela, is being organised from 15 January to 4 March, 2019. It is due to the endeavours of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the Kumbh Mela has been listed as an Intangible Cultural Heritage under UNESCO. People from more than six lakh villages of the country besides more than five thousands non-resident Indians would participate in the Mela.He has also requested Jai Ram Thakur to send cultural troupes and at least one citizen from every village of the state for participating in the Kumbh Mela so that the concept of "one India, Great India" could be realised.The Chief Minister thanked Yogi Adityabnath for the invitation and also appreciated the efforts of the UP government for making best arrangements for the success of the Kumbh Mela.
