Director Sericulture Gulzar Ahmad today flagged-off a batch of 15 officials of the Department for specialized training in seed technology at National Silkworm Seed Organization (NSSO), Bengaluru.The batch was flagged off in presence of Javid Ahmad, Project Executive Officer, Jammu and other senior functionaries of the Department. The officials shall be trained by the scientists and faculty of the NSSO about the advanced scientific techniques underway in the field of Silkworm Seed production.They will be acquainted with various research activities undergoing at the Institute in the field of Silkworm Seed production and shall be acquainted with the outcome of the research conducted by the Organization of the Central Silk Board.Speaking on the occasion, Director Sericulture said that once the trainees return from Bengaluru, they will prove to be the Master trainers for imparting training to other functionaries of the Department and will also be able to share their experiences and skills to ensure production of improved silkworm seed within the units of the Department.
