District Development Commissioner, Sushma Chauhan, today chaired a meeting of District Consultative Committee (DCC)/ District Level Review Committee (DLRC) for the quarter ending September, 2018 to review the performance of banks in respect of achievements under Annual Credit Plan 2018-19 besides taking stock of position of Deposits, Advances and CD Ratio. District Development Commissioner stressed upon to increase the CD ratio by developing better coordination and cooperation between major banks and government departments.DDC asked Chief Agriculture officer for 100% coverage of KCC in Co ordinations with bankers. She stressed on the need of holding Financial Literacy camps in collaboration with Banks and government departments under intimation to Chairman on regular basis and these camps may also be utilized by the banks for creating awareness among the people about the Financial literacy, PMEGP, Housing for all, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna, 100% coverage under KCCs, Prime Minister's New social security Schemes, Pardhan Mantri FasalBima Yojana etc.DDC asked the officials to draft an inclusive strategy to support and motivate the new entrepreneurs and guide them towards financially viable business opportunities. Efforts need to be made to boost the small-scale industries in the district, she added. Banks were given targets of Stand-up India and financing under Joint Liability Group (JLG).The meeting had also a detailed review of all the government sponsored schemes with special focus on PMEGP, NULP, Handicrafts and JKREGP Schemes.DDC stressed for achievement of ACP on quarterly basis and evaluation of banks was on scoring model. As per the scoring model top three banks of the district are HDFC, ICICI and Axis Bank UPTO 30.09.2018. DDC advised the sponsoring agencies to conduct awareness camps in coordination with banks, so that more and more people are educated, motivated and facilitated to undertake self-employment activities. Satish Sharma lead Bank Manager informed about deposits of the District. The C.D.Ratio of Samba District is 49% and priority sector advances is 56.07% of total advances of Samba District as on 30.09.2018.
