The Department of Information and Public Relations in collaboration with Cultural wing Jammu, today organized a symposium cum cultural programme on the topic “Role of youth towards parents and society” here at Gujjar Bakerwal Hostel.Warden Gujjar Bakarwal Hostel, Shakeel Ahmed was the chief guest on the occasion.As many as, 10 students of the host school participated in the contest and expressed their views on the topic.Imtyaz of class 6th was adjudged first while Yasir of class 6th and Arif of class 8th clinched 2nd and 3rd positions, respectively. Besides, Imtyaz of class 7th and Younis of class 7th bagged consolation prizes.Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the efforts of Information Department for organizing the programme and urged for organizing similar events on regular basis.On the occasion, the artists of Information Department presented theme based scintillating cultural programme.Later, the chief guest gave away prizes and certificates to the participants of the contest.Vandhna Gupta, Sawha Pervez and Farida Khan acted as judges on the occasion.Among others present were staff members of Information Department, staff members and students in large number were present on the occasion.
