Despite bandh call by the separatists in the Kashmir  valley 100% attendance was recorded in the Written examination conducted by the  Recruitment Board for different posts in Department of Fire & Emergency Services today.Director General of Police Dilbag Singh himself visited the centers at Srinagar and took stock of the arrangements. He interacted with the officers and the staff involved in the written test and the candidates.The test was held in Srinagar, Jammu and Ladakh simultaneously  in two shifts .1st shift was for  Fire man and  Fire man driver and the 2nd shift was for technical posts. The 1st shift started at 11 a.m to 1 p.m and  the 2nd shift was from 2 to 4 p.m.The test was conducted at 10 centres in Srinagar and one each at Jammu and Kargil. Out door tests for these posts were held earlier  and the results were uploaded on the next day.

Out of  5457 qualified candidates from Kashmir valley, 5421 had downloaded their admit card which was mandatory for every aspirant to appear in the test.  5419 candidates appeared in the 1st shift at ten centres established in Srinagar and two candidtes appeared at the Jammu centre, thus recording 100% attendence, despite bandh call in the valley. In the 2nd shift also there was 100% attendence appearing 184 candidates for   technical posts.In Jammu division 1690 candidates out of 1709 had downloaded their admit cards, who appeared in the first meeting at govt. Degree College Parade centre. Similarly in the 2nd meeting 47 candidates out of fifty appeared for technical posts at the centre.In Kargil, keeping in view low temperatures  recorded during the day  elaborate arrangements were made at DPL Kargil centre to facilitate the appearing candidates.  38 candidates out of 39 were present at the centre making it almost 100% attendance there as well.
