Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, LAHDC, Kargil Vikas Kundal today reviewed the progress of enrolment under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana here at a meeting of the concerned officers.Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr Ibrahim Khan, Deputy Chief Medical Officer Kargil Dr Muhammad Afzal, Programme Officer ICDS Kargil Nargis Banoo, District Panchayat Officer Kargil Shabir Hussain, Block Medical Officers (BMOs), Programme Coordinators of Common Service Centres and other concerned officers attended the meeting.It was informed in the meeting that against the target of 40,795, registration  of 15,234 beneficiaries have been carried out in different blocks of the district so far marking 37% progress. It was further revealed that golden cards have been issued to around 2000 beneficiaries who can now avail the benefits of the scheme from different Government health institutions in the district.

The meeting was further informed that process of registration for remaining lot is in full swing and all out efforts are underway to ensure that the exercise is completed within the stipulated time frame.The Deputy Commissioner, while congratulating the officers and field staff for the achievement, urged them to work with continued zeal and enthusiasm to achieve the set target.The DC instructed the concerned officers and CSC Operators to work in tandem and close coordination so that the target of enrollment is achieved up to the desired levels. He also directed the Health Department to mobilize all resources available for ensuring the enrollment of all beneficiaries during these camps.He said that the enrollment process across the district should be completed by December 15, 2018 and called for concerted efforts of all stakeholders in making the scheme beneficial and result oriented.
