As many as 35 progressive farmers from district Solan visited Kainthla farm, in Kurukshetra today to study natural farming on spot, especially vegetables being grown based on this technique. The farmers also met Governor Acharya Devvrat at Gurukul, Kurukshetra.Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that Solan district was known for production of tomatoes and vegetables besides farm cultivation. He said that vegetables could be produced at minimum cost while adopting natural farming as all the products required for farming were available with farmers themselves.He said progressive farmers were role models for the entire region and they should try new initiatives for crop practices.The Governor asked the farmers to take lead and explore new fields while adopting natural farming which would certainly help in doubling their income and ensure better life quality.
