While presiding over the annual court meeting of Himachal Pradesh University at Shimla today, Governor Acharya Devvrat said that the teaching fraternity should refrain from student politics as it affects the educational environment in the campus. Emphasizing the importance of teachers in higher educational institutions, he said that they play significant role in channelizing the energy of the students in positive direction which ultimately helps in building a strong nation.Acharya Devvrat said that universities were institutions of intellectuals and they should give an impression of wisdom and learning. He said any educational institution could attain new heights provided one and all associated with it show strong will power, work honestly and share responsibility and accountability.“This University has given qualified and renowned person at all levels to the state and the country which we are proud of, but education does not only mean bookish knowledge.
