The promise made during elections to provide employment to every household in the state is being fulfilled word by word by State Govt. under the leadership of Chief Minister, Punjab Captain Amrinder Singh. In this regard, employment opportunities have been provided to the youngsters through job fairs and now till 22nd November, job fairs at 40 different locations are being organised in the state which will directly provide employment opportunities to approximate 80 thousand youngsters. This was stated by Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Labour Minister Sr. Balbir Singh Sidhu while he was visiting as a chief guest in the job fair organised at ITI (Girls) Phase 5, SAS Nagar.Addressing the candidates, Cabinet Minister expressed pleasure with the presence of students in huge numbers. He said that no work is small or big, rather with the hard work and dedications, efficiency can be achieved in any work. Cabinet minister said that job fairs being organised by state govt. are getting very positive response because through these job fairs, employment opportunities are being provided to the youngsters which makes them self reliant. He said that every year many youngsters of the state are heading towards abroad by spending huge money and there they work hard with facing lot of difficulties.He said the instead of this they should establish their own works/Business here. 

This will not only help them for better livelihood but also helps in strengthening the nation.He said that we should adopt the work culture of abroad rather than heading towards abroad. He said that Punjab Govt. is fully dedicated for the multidimensional development of the state and is working day and night for development in other fields. During this he also interacted with the representatives of various companies came for the interview and also interacted with the candidates. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Smt. Gurpreet Kaur Sapra  along with SDM Mohali Sh. Jagdeep Sehgal also interacted with the representatives of companies and the candidates appeared for the interview. During this Deputy Commissioner said that total 32 companies interviewed 1328 candidates for 664 vacancies. 414 candidates got the jobs and 288 were short listed. She disclosed that on November 17 job fare would be organized at CU Gharuan.In this job fair, Political advisor to Sr. Sidhu Sh. Harkesh Chand Machlikalan, Additional Director Technical Education Department Daljeet Kaur, IMC Chairman SS Sandhu, and District Employment Officer Smt. Harpreet Kaur Brar, Congress leader GS Riar, ITI principal rahim bakhsh along with ITI Staff members, and various officers of different departments were present.
