National Book Trust, New Delhi in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and Kala Kendra, Jammu organized a 12-day Jammu Book Fair today at G R Santosh Gallery of Kala Kendra, Jammu.The fair will continue up to 22nd November, 2018 daily between 10AM -6PM.Sunaina Sharma, Secretary, Jammu Municipality Corporation inaugurated the Book Fair in the presence of Shyam Lal Kori, Incharge, Jammu Book Fair, Vijay Saraf, President, Amar Singh Club, Jammu and Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Secretary, Kala Kendra, Jammu & Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.On the occasion, Sunaina Sharma appreciated NBT, Kala Kendra and JAACL for organizing Jammu Book Fair and said that this fair will encourage and boost the youth, in particular, for linking them with book culture. She further said that 2500 titles of books in Hindi, English, Urdu, Dogri, Punjabi, and titles of nine local regional languages like Dogri, Gojri, Pahari, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Urdu, Ladakhi, Balti and Chhina languages under the publications of JKAACL have been displayed in the fair.Secretary, Kala Kendra & additional Secretary, JKAACL Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, while interacting with the media persons informed that Academy publications have also been displayed with the classics of Indian languages in the collaborative event.Prominent among others who were present on this occasion included Paramjeet Kaur, Joginder Singh Paandhi, Ashok Sharma, Jang S. Verman, Suraj Singh Suraj, Ashok Kumar Gupta, Manjeet Singh, members of District Library, Jammu and others.The vote of thanks was extended by S. Popinder Singh Paras, Editor Punjabi, Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
