Member of Parliament and Congress candidate from Ludhiana Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu said in past 7 years the SAD-BJP alliance has been making castles in the air and proved failed to fulfill a single promise. Chiding SAD-BJP alliance Mr. Bittu said that the SAD leaders have been claiming that they would provide facilities like California to people of Ludhiana, but in California the condition of basic facilities like roads, drinking water and health are not in dilapidated.Bittu was addressing the meetings at ward no. 51, Sham Nagar during his election campaign. Mr. Bittu has also listened to the complaints of people. He said the development can be brought by working for the state not by making hollow promises. He said the people of Ludhiana have been listening to the tall claims of SAD-BJP leaders.
Bittu said his grandfather late Chief Minister Beant Singh had brought industry to Ludhiana and had also initiated many schemes to for development of the industry.He further added that in past seven years more than 1800 industrial units have been closed down and many of industries have been moved away to other states that has affected the people and their families directly.He has also shown concern about the basic facilities including roads, water-sewerage and health services. He said that his priority is to establish PGIMER in Ludhiana so that the people of Ludhiana can get quality health services in the city. With this not only Ludhiana but people of surrounding areas would be benefitted. He has been also making plans for water-sewerage.
Bittu said that the congress led UPA has initiated city bus service in Ludhiana, built houses for underprivileged and other projects to provide basic facilities to people.
