1. To mark the 86th Anniversary of Indian Air Force various activities such as aero-adventure involving Powered Hang Glider (PHG) Flying, Para Sailing, display by Air Warrior Drill Team and performance by Air Force Band were organized at Air Force Station, Bhisiana for the station personnel and populace of Bathinda district including students from schools and colleges from Oct 24 to Oct 29, 2018. The objective of event was to promote spirit of adventure and motivate people to aspire for an adventurous life and career in Indian Air Force.
2. Event was organized by Air Commodore Rajiva Ranjan Vayu Sena Medal, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Bhisiana on Oct 24 with scintillating power display of Powered Hang Glider and Para Sailing. On Oct 28, 2018 an outstanding feat was achieved by Sqn Ldr Ajmer Singh who flew 101 sorties in a single day with various categories of passengers in Powered Hang Glider. Spectacular display of Air Warrior Drill team And Air Force band followed on subsequent days. Impressive and well coordinated display mesmerized spectators/ audience enthralling them precision and skill.
3. The Air Officer Commanding in his concluding address appreciated the efforts of air warriors who participated in the event and averred that the experience would immensely enrich local citizenry, students / children and dignitaries as well.
