Congress MLA from Khanna Gurkeerat Kotli said the SAD-BJP alliance has destroyed Punjab in past seven years and the Government has proved failed from all fronts. No one is satisfied from the government. Mr. Kotli was campaigning door to door for congress candidate from Ludhiana Mr. Ravneet Singh Bittu in Atam Nagar constituency, along with senior congress leaders K.K. Bawa and others.The people of area welcomed Mr. Bittu for contesting from Ludhiana and assured that they would make him win. The people said, they have been annoyed with hollow promises of SAD-BJP alliance. The people said only congress can give fair and health administration to the country.
Kotli said in past seven years more than 1800 industrial units have been closed down that has affected locals as well as migrant laborers. He further added that the SAD-BJP has not established industrial policy as well as agricultural policy. This is the reason that the farmers, besides the laborers have been annoyed with the state government. Irked and harassed by adverse polices of state government have been forced to commit suicide. He said in the reign of Congress the farmers used to get power supply for minimum 8 hours a day for tubewells that has been reduced to 2 hours in the reign of SAD-BJP alliance. The SAD that claimed itself as well-wisher of farmers is solely responsible for their sinking condition.He further added that all the people meeting him have been cursing SAD-BJP alliance. Some of people have been annoyed with the poor health services and some are irked because of unavailability of water and roads.
He said, terror of drug peddling has been apparently visible on the faces of people. The people are annoyed with the leaders of ruling parties that have been encouraging drug peddling. The government employees are not getting salaries and pension holders are also feeling betrayed. Everyone wants to get rid of the SAD-BJP alliance and parliamentary elections will be first step for people to root out the alliance.Inderjit Chopra, Narinder Kakki, Ramesh Nahar, Reru Baba, Satparkash Gupta, Manjit Kaur, Paramjit kaur, Surinder Lilly, Gurbachan Singh, Ratan Singh, Sewa Singh, Meva Singh, Rajpal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Kulwant Singh, Maninder Singh, Jagdish Singh Lotey, Satinder Singh and youth leader Charanvir Singh and other leaders were also present.
